Wollongong is located just over an hour by train or road from central Sydney. The University currently has 22,000 students in its onshore and offshore campuses, including 3,600 international students studying at the main �Wollongong campus and the Graduate School of Business campus in downtown Sydney.

UOW has longstanding educational links with the Middle East and Gulf States regions, including the establishment of a campus in Dubai in 1993. As well as offering English language training and full Bachelor and Master degrees at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), students have the opportunity to transfer between the Dubai and Wollongong or Sydney campuses.
